Media Center The Spring Book Fair was a huge success! We earned enough money to purchase 74 new biographies for the media center. Students were able to suggest titles for this order. Some of the new biographies include: Bill Gates, Doug Flutie, Chris Daughtry, Lord Baltimore, Roberto Clemente, Elizabeth Blackwell, Milton Bradley, Vera Wang, Elizabeth I, Alan Shepard, and Abner Doubleday. I can’t list them all but I tried to get biographies from a variety of fields. Our Book Fair sales have steadily increased over the past few years and with every increase we earn bonuses to purchase additional books and media items. Thank you to all who supported this sale and a big thank you to the parents and relatives who helped man the cashier’s table. We had many helpers who had to cancel due to sick children, but those who were left rallied for me! Surf’s Up! To review math skills go to A Plus Math (www.aplusmath.com). There are a variety of math activities that students can do to review skills. You can choose the grade level and the operation you wish to work on. |
