Text Box: 	Third Grade Thoughts…
	The third grade would like to extend a great big THANK YOU to our two guest speakers this past month. Mrs. Javie Scotto came and talked to our class about becoming a citizen of the U.S. and Mr. Harvey Stanley came and talked to our class about the local government of Secretary. We learned so much. Thank you for taking the time to talk to our class.
	Please continue to practice multiplication facts every night!!
Text Box: February Pillar of the Month is Respect:
	"DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOU."

Respect means to:
-Follow the Golden Rule;
-Be tolerant of differences;
-Use good manners;
-Be considerate of the feelings of others;
-Don't threaten hurt or hit anyone;
-Deal peacefully with anger; insults and disagreements.

The only way to have a friend is to be a friend. Ralph Waldo Templeton
Text Box: Thank you to all the students and parents who donated to First Grade’s “Giving Tree” in December. The donated items for the needy helped to make first grade’s Service Learning project a success !
