March will be a busy month in the Media Center. We will be having the spring Scholastic Book Fair in the media center during the week of March 10-14th . Flyers with book previews will be coming home prior to the book fair. Once again, we will be having daily door prizes. On Wednesday, 3/12, the book fair will be open until 7 p.m. All of the profits from this fair will go toward updating our biography section which is a popular section with our students.
Surfs Up! If your child could use some extra practice in handwriting you can print a variety of worksheets from www.first-school.ws/theme/handwriting.htm. Worksheets are available featuring numbers, color words, and days of the week to name a few options. You can print blank handwriting paper which has the dashed mid-line and also story paper, which has the lines below and space for illustrations above. |

The weather in March is very unpredictable. In fact some say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Second grade teachers would like to suggest that parents have students dress in layers. This will help them accommodate any unexpected changes. Thank you! Mrs. Kephart, Mrs. Koski, and Miss Webster
