On September 19th the Delmarva Stargazers came to Warwick to discuss the solar system with fifth and second graders. Both grades have been learning about the moon and the solar system in science.

Stargazers brought a huge telescope to set up in the school yard. Joseph Bates (left) enjoyed the special activity.

Leah Anderson’s and mom’s smile says it all.

               Fun in First Grade

On September 26 and 27, first grade had special guests, including Police Officers Patrick Lanahan, Officer Horseman and Firefighter, Donnie Cheeseman  They had fun sharing information about their jobs with first graders for the grade one Community Helpers Unit. After the visit, first graders wrote thank you notes to these special community helpers. Then first graders visited the post office on October 2 to mail the letters. The first graders  had a great time learning about special community helpers!
