ELEMENTARY SCHOOL's reading instruction utilizes the SUCCESS FOR
ALL reading program that was developed by researchers at the Johns
Hopkins University Educational Research Center. SUCCESS FOR ALL
is a comprehensive approach to reading with its primary goal being
success for all students. The SUCCESS FOR ALL curriculum is
based on current research on the best ways to teach today's students how
to read. SUCCESS FOR ALL reading is guided by two main
principles: students need to be successful the first time they are
taught and schools need to organize all their resources to ensure this
success.

-
Participate in the
Read and Respond expectation of SUCCESS FOR ALL. We
believe that the more you read, the better reader you will
become. With this in mind, we ask our students to read with a
parent or responsible adult for 20 minutes EVERY night to practice
reading skills and reading strategies.
